10"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
11 The Son of Man came to save what was lost.
12"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?
13And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
14In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. (NIV)
I was looking for something different to post today and find out this video:
The sheeperd doesn't wait until morning, he goes immediately in search of this lost sheep because it can become an easy prey for wolves and lions. Can you imagine his desperate heart? And how it turns into joy when he finally find this lost one?
Like the sheep in this video, we can get away from God by following wordly things, they look beautiful at first...but they can take us to dangerous places.
Jesus watches over us, every step. Do we follow the path he has set?

thanks for such a wonderful reflection, fabiana. we often think of the Father's heart as angry and wrathful when we wander off and go astray. i guess that's why we have so much trouble and delay so long in "coming back". but this parable shows that the Father's heart is quite different. He is "not willing that any one . . . should be lost"--even you or me. He longs for our return and searches everywhere with great patience until He has found us. moreover, "He is happier about [us being found] than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off". too often we attribute our own limited and very imperfect conception of love on God. after all these years, how little we still really know of Him!
this lack of knowledge and understanding of God's love is fatal and has prevented many "lost" sheep from being "found".
fabiana... i was not able to view the video but i think i get the gist. the imagery of our Lord as a shepherd is so appropriate... the visual gives me great comfort!
Thank you Fabi!!!
